SWEDISH MASSAGE
Swedish massage involves long, kneading strokes combines with smooth gliding and relaxing strokes. This modality concentrates on the uppermost layer of the muscles and its main objective is to relieve muscle tension. It is a lighter touch massage especially if you are comparing it to deep tissue. So, if you are not a fan of deep tissue massage, this massage may be what you are looking for. This is a very relaxing type of massage. It can help you wind down, rejuvenate, give you more energy, help with blood circulation and may even help heal muscular injuries.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Deep tissue massage is a massage technique used to treat the musculoskeletal system. It is applied, sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes, focusing on the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues.
Important to note: There are different degrees of pressure, the therapist will apply depending on the client’s needs. For example, a body builder with dense muscle mass may take deeper pressure than a runner or someone that does yoga. This modality is also used to treat muscle pain and stiffness. It is recommended for individuals suffering from fatigue, soreness, muscle pain, or just wanting to relax and like a stronger pressure application. Encourages blood flow, which in turn loosens tight muscles, and knots. It is a great service for rehabilitation and recovery and helps relieve physical and mental stress and strain.

LYMPHATIC MASSAGE
Lymphatic massage uses gentle and rhythmic skin stretching and manipulation to manually stimulate the lymph system. The lymphatic system contains lymph nodes that transport a fluid called lymph that contains white blood cells throughout the body to fight infection and rid the body of toxic waste. The lymphatic system is kind of like the garbage disposal system of the body. Helping the lymphatic system “to move”, can support toxic elimination from the body. The type of stimulation used in a lymphatic massage increases the rate of drainage into the circulatory system. Driving out this excess fluid can make the body healthier.
As relaxing as all massages can be, including lymphatic massage, this technique is more of a therapeutic service to help in homeostasis. It is intended to help with swelling in the limbs, and or with general wellbeing.

Gua sha
Gua sha is a traditional Chinese technique that may speed up healing and help reduce pain in many areas of the body. A scraping tool is used on the soft tissue, which in turn stimulates blood flow and helps in repairing tissue. It also helps to breaks up fascial adhesions. Another great added benefit of Gua sha, is that it stimulates lymphatic drainage. The lymph system is, well you can say, the garbage disposal system of the body. It moves toxins to the areas of elimination. When the lymphatic system is stimulated then our bodies are being helped along in the toxin removal process. Gua sha may possibly leave the skin red and sometimes slightly bruised. This is to be expected because of the scraping of the soft tissue. However, the results are worth it in the end.
